Who says cool stuff doesn’t happen in Ottawa?

After a crazy couple of months of non-stop work and a shamelessly-short holiday, I am back on the streets of Ottawa looking for stylin’ people. I went to Mercury Lounge on Saturday night and came across these two cute boys … loved their cozy mash up of plaids and stripes. Jesse and Steye are from the Netherlands, here participating in a project called “In a Cabin With”. The premise is Dutch musicians travel to inspiring places on the planet, hole up in a “cabin” with local musicians and write a bunch of music. Steye and Jesse, along with Philippe LaFraniere and Zakari Frantz will showcase their creations at Mercury on February 9th. And all the finished songs are available to download free from the “In a Cabin” website. SO COOL…’nuff said! www.inacabinwith.com
